Provide paper, scissors, crayons, glue, and pencil. Print out worksheet. Have child read through the passage twice. Answer the questions. Have child color, cut, and paste the pictures, in the order that they happened in the story, onto another sheet of paper. Write a complete sentence beneath each picture to describe what is happening using sequence words: first, then, next, and last.

The placement test can sometimes take awhile. You can do this over a period of several days. After the placement test, there will be mini lessons and questions to answer at their individualized level. Students work at their own pace.
