Parent Instructions
1. Click on the YouTube link and have your child watch the video on silent consonants. As you are watching, review the rule discussed for each silent letter.
2. After watching the video, have your child complete the worksheet on silent consonants. He/she will read each word and highlight or circle the silent letter.
3. Have your child cut out each word and sort them by silent letters on the 2nd page. (Example: All silent "h" letters will be in a circle together).
4. Ask your child to think of more words that have the same silent letters and write them in the circles.
5. If possible, help your child upload the work to Seesaw so their teacher can see their hard work!

2. Brainstorm your reasons/examples for your opinion and plan what you want to say (draw a graphic organizer to help!)
3. Write your opinion about the tastiest candy and give your reasons why you think that. Draw a picture of your favorite candy!

Type in "The Most Adorable Animals in the World by Tammy Gagne". Click the magnify glass to search.
Click on the book.
It will read to the child.
Click on the arrow to move to the next page. Your child will choose their favorite adorable animal and write complete sentences to answer the questions in the students instructions.

Remember to click the arrows to move to the next page or go back to a page.
When you have finished, write complete sentences to answer these questions.

1. Watch the Brain Pop video for Tally Marks and Bar Graphs
2. Under the video is a blue Game icon – click it.
3. Select the first Favorite Pet tally chart template. Complete the template by dragging and dropping the tally marks for each pet. You can print your tally chart, or screenshot it and post to Seesaw, when you finish.
4. Select the second Favorite Pet graphing template. Complete the template by dragging and dropping the colored squares to match pet totals. You can print your table, or screenshot it and post to Seesaw, when you finish.
