Students will answer main idea and skill builder questions that help them trace the financial decline of the late 1920s. Students may submit their answers to their teacher for feedback.

Read Chapter 14 Section 1 that discusses the economic troubles that led to the Great Depression. Students will answer the Main Idea questions in the reading columns ( A-E). They will also read the DEPRESSION INDICATORS section on page 470 and answer skill builder questions (1-2). If you would like feedback on your answers you can email your completed work to your teacher.

Have your students read the New Deal article from History.com. (link attached) Students should also view the pro/con graphic from our textbook to determine their opinion on the overall success of the New Deal. A written response is detailed in the student instructions.

The New Deal was FDR's key response to the Great Depression. You are to read the history.com link and view the pro/con graphic from our textbook. Write a two paragraph ( 5-7 sentences per paragraph) response. Your first paragraph should include how you think the New Deal succeeded and how it failed. The second paragraph should include your opinion on if you would have supported or opposed the New Deal and reasons to justify your opinion?
