Bryan Woodruff - Bio

Bryan is spent the majority of his life as a resident of Bartlett. He grew up here when Bartlett was a small town and much of it was still farmland. His family lived in a neighborhood near our current Bartlett City Hall. Bryan attended Bartlett Baptist Preschool & Kindergarten, Altruria Elementary School, Shadowlawn Middle School, and Bartlett High School. He played soccer, baseball, basketball, drums for the middle school band, high school track, and cross country.

In 1992, Bryan graduated from Bartlett High School. He attended Christian Brothers University and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He then earned a Master of Business Administration from The University of Memphis. He returned to Christian Brothers University and pursued significant studies in Psychology and Sociology. Bryan also earned a Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management from Penn State University with a 4.0 GPA.

Bryan spent several years in marketing for a Memphis-based manufacturer. He went on to provide independent technical training and information technology consulting services. He later spent fifteen years as an IT leader in a supply chain management firm. Today, he works as a Senior Sales Engineer for XO Communications supporting sales teams and fellow engineers across the country with an emphasis on information security and governance. Bryan holds numerous professional certifications including IT Infrastructure Library Expert, Certified Member of the Business Continuity Institute, Project Management Professional, and technical certifications awarded by Checkpoint, Cisco, and Fortinet.

As a dedicated member of the Bartlett community, Bryan is a coach for youth soccer teams and participates regularly in city and community events. Prior to his election in 2013 to the Bartlett City Board of Education, he spent two years promoting and planning our school system. Bryan served on the Bartlett Education Advisory Committee in 2012 and 2013. He served as Chairman of the Logistics and Facilities Subcommittees, and as a member of the Finance Subcommittee.

Bryan, and his wife Rachel, have four children that all proudly attend Bartlett City Schools. In their spare time they enjoy hiking, SCUBA diving, biking, home projects, cooking, and they frequent the Memphis Zoo. Bryan and his family attend Bartlett Baptist Church.
