School Social Work

What is a School Social Worker:

School Social Workers are trained, licensed mental health professionals with a Master’s degree in Social Work whose primary job responsibility is to provide mental health intervention and support services in the school setting.

School Social Workers are an integral link between school, home, and community in helping students achieve academic and behavioral success.

School Social Workers work directly with school administrators, teachers, and other school staff to assist in forming school discipline policies, building positive school culture and climate for positive outcomes.
