Executive Director Bio

 


The Bartlett Education Foundation (BEF)
is pleased to announce that Nell Long-Blair has been selected as the new Executive Director. Through her scope of work, Nell will work with the BEF Board of Directors to continue to move the foundation forward.

 

With over twenty-five years of experience in non-profit management and development, Ms. Long-Blair has acquired extensive knowledge and skills which will benefit her in this new position. She has held executive development positions with organizations such as Girls Scouts, Anchorage Museum of History and Art, University of Memphis, University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and was the first executive director for Habitat for Humanity, Alaska. As a development consultant, Ms. Long-Blair provided development and strategic planning for small non-profits poised for growth, and non-profits planning to increase services to multiple communities.

 

Nell Long-Blair is from Bartlett, where she attended what are now Bartlett schools. Nell’s parents, Jimmy and Earline Long have been Bartlett residents for over 45 years. Nell is a graduate of the University of Alaska, Fairbanks and is a Nanook hockey fan. Nell and her husband, Paul, have one daughter, Naomi, who keeps them busy and enjoying many new adventures.
