New Chief Academic Officer Named

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Christopher Maley has been selected as our Chief Academic Officer for the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic school year.

Dr. Maley earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Union University and has served as Principal of Bartlett High School, following three years as Vice-Principal. With over a decade of educational experience, Dr. Maley's roles have included serving as the district’s Assessment & Accountability Supervisor, Lead Instructional Coach, assessment coach, and high school math teacher.

Dr. David Stephens, Superintendent of Bartlett City Schools, stated, “I am excited to announce Chris as our new Chief Academic Officer. Through his various leadership roles, he has maintained a strong academic focus which has prepared him to continue the success that BCS has built over the past ten years. It has been an honor to see Chris grow as a leader and I know our students and staff will benefit from his leadership and dedication to excellence.”

Chris is married to Jennifer, and they have two children who attend Bartlett City Schools. Dr. Maley is thrilled to lead the district’s academic efforts and continue the path to success for all students. He believes that partnering with families, the community, and the outstanding faculty and staff is key to continuing the educational success that Bartlett City Schools has experienced over the past decade.

Dr. Maley will be replacing Kristy Ford as Chief Academic Officer due to her retirement. We thank Mrs. Ford for her service to our community and devoting her professional career to serving students along their educational journey.
