In this video you will learn how to use your free Office 365 cloud storage space to back up your SCHOOL related files and projects before your laptop gets taken up for summer! Each laptop will be wiped clean, so if you have something you love on there, then back it up! Remember your BCS Tech Department cares! ❤️

hey BCS students it is the end of the year and we will be taking up the laptops very soon one of the things that I need to know is that we will not be saving any of the data that is on your laptops so you need to start preparing now if you want to save documents that are on your laptop you can use a flash drive to backup your information or you can log into or email and use OneDrive logging into your OneDrive Mount is very easy all you have to do is go to your email account and log in once you're in your email you see you have a bunch of different options if you are turn the screen on you see you have a bunch of different apps down here here's one drive if you happen to login and your you go right to your email you have this icon appear in the top left it's called The Waffle let's go ahead and click on that so you see what pops out all the same apps that you see down here and here's one drive go ahead and click on OneDrive  you might be brought to another login screen. okay just go ahead and log in  you're going to be using your Bartlett city school email and the same email word to log in okay this is your OneDrive account and you can upload whatever school-related files that you want to to your OneDrive account and I'm going to show you how you can get yourself organized to back up your laptop okay so now there's a couple of things that you need to know over on the left you have your name your files which is that's the screen that we're on now recent that would be recent uploads shared with me that would be anything that someone might have shared with you and the recycle bin that would be anything that you may deleted okay across the top here you have new which you can create a new folder or work on different documents online you also have the ability to upload files which we will talk about here in just a second  so let's talk about how you should be I saying your files in OneDrive most of you have files created based on the classes that you take maybe you have first. Folder second. Folder third. folders maybe you have folders designed by your subject area science social studies math language arts what's you're going to want to do is create folders however your folders on your desktop were created so let's say I had my by subject area so simple as that I come up to new I click on folder and then I named it what I want to name its social Addy's  say that one more time new folder name that when I want to name it and it pops up right here in my file list okay okay now  the next thing I want to show you is how to upload your items into your folder to keep it nice and neat so here's what I want to do I want to click into this folder as you OneDrive is telling me hey this folder is empty but I want to upload something to it so I have a folder already titled social studies so I'm take these things in here  and click choose  now in my files social studies these two things have popped up in the social studies folder so I can come back over here to files click on social studies and see that's where those two things have gone to okay  so create your folders and then you can click into those folders and then upload to them all right let's say you have some files on the desktop for example  I have this file right here on my desktop and I want to quickly get it on to my OneDrive right here it's telling me hey drag files here to upload okay let's try it out alright so OneDrive just told me I uploaded one item to my files and here it is the SAT and ACT PDF that was sitting right here on my desktop and now it's in my OneDrive saved  forever okay so that's two different ways to upload into OneDrive you can upload via the upload tool right here or you can drag-and-drop okay BCS students there's some things that you need to know as your backing up you may upload school-related files into your OneDrive account that means any keynote presentations any Pages documents anything that you've created for school related purposes that that means School assignments alright so using your OneDrive account should be very easy there's some very good benefits for using the OneDrive account if you guys aren't going to have your laptop's over the summer but you are going to have access to your email account that means if you are at home on a computer search you can log into your email and you can still access these different  documents you can open up this document it's going to go to your downloads folder and you'll still be able to work on it so there we go okay so that was your briefs go on how to access your OneDrive account I hope you guys take the time to upload some of your most important School files to your OneDrive remember it's only for school files not your songs and pictures and in shots of kittens and whatever else but your school work and we hope are you guys have a fantastic summer and we look forward to giving you guys your computer's back in August
