Parents would go to storylineonline.net Parents will click on the story Library Lion and it will read it to their child. After listening to the story, parents will ask their child: Who were the characters in the story? Where was the setting? What was the beginning,middle, and end of the story?

Students will need 2 dice, a pencil, and paper. Students will roll the dice and use thenumbers they roll to create an addition problem. Use the Addition WS to practice, before rolling the dice. This worksheet can be printed or the problems can be solved orally.

The students will use the Addition WS to add using the 2 dice. Then students are to get2 dice from their home. Roll both dice and count the dots on the top of the dice. Use the numbers to create an addition problem. The students are to roll the dice and writedown the addition problem.

Extend the learning. Have you ever seen objects in the clouds? You and your family could cut clouds out of paper in the shape of an object. You could play a guessing game to see if you can guess each other's cloud shape. You may get some ideas from a book on You-tube called "It Looked Like Spilt Milk."

We want to continue using those great writing skills. On your notebook paper or on the back of the worksheet, we want you to write 4 sentences about the parts of a plant. Some sentence starters to help you get started: A plant has ______ . The stem helps ____. Remember to use those letter sounds and sight words to help you spell.

Parents will go through Clever and enter student's username/password (Student ID for both). Choose Studies Weekly and select Kindergarten. Parents can select a study to go through and their child can do the rest. Minimal assistance should be needed since most have audio prompts.
 
Student Instructions
Students can go through one weekly at a time and earn coins to help make Revere Rat's cage look awesome! Some you may have already read in class and that's ok! Review what you already know.

Students will draw and label a flower and its parts (roots, stem, leaves, and flower). The students can also go outside and look for plants in their environment. Extend the learning by making a poster of Needs and Wants. Draw pictures of Needs on the left side of your poster and draw pictures of Wants on the right side. You could cut and glue pictures of Needs and Wants from magazines instead of drawing as an alternative.
