Parents would go to storylineonline.net Parents will click on the story Library Lion and it will read it to their child. After listening to the story, parents will ask their child: Who were the characters in the story? Where was the setting? What was the beginning,middle, and end of the story?
Student Instructions
Students will listen to story Library Lion. They will answer questions and write in journals and draw pictures for character, setting, and beginning, middle, and end ofstory of questions asked by their parent. The character is.... Students will need 2 dice, a pencil, and paper. Students will roll the dice and use thenumbers they roll to create an addition problem. Use the Addition WS to practice, before rolling the dice. This worksheet can be printed or the problems can be solved orally.

The students will use the Addition WS to add using the 2 dice. Then students are to get2 dice from their home. Roll both dice and count the dots on the top of the dice. Use the numbers to create an addition problem. The students are to roll the dice and writedown the addition problem.

Extend the learning. Have you ever seen objects in the clouds? You and your family could cut clouds out of paper in the shape of an object. You could play a guessing game to see if you can guess each other's cloud shape. You may get some ideas from a book on You-tube called "It Looked Like Spilt Milk."
