Please perform our normal stretching routine, followed by this workout, at least three times each week.
 
Learning Opportunity Objective
Maintaining an active lifestyle, try to get in at least 60 minutes of activity--walking, jogging, biking, jumping rope, dancing, something--each day.
 
Comments
Find something you can do, while maintaining the government set standards, and stay active for at least 60 minutes per day. Any type of physical activity will work. You can walk, jog, jump rope, dance, ride a bike, walk your dog, perform body weight exercises, aerobics, tai bo, anything that you can do continuously for 20 minutes at a time. Your objective is to stay active for AT LEAST 60 minutes each day.

If possible, perform our warmup routine followed with the posted workout, 3 times a week.

Encourage your child to find at least 20 minutes during the day to be active (60 minutes would be even better). You will find several resources on the last page of the packet to supplement your child individually. There are also links for you to be active as a family.
 
 
Student Instructions
Choose an activity to complete. You can choose something different each day, or mix and match the different options. When you are done, log your activity in your fitness journal to keep track of your progress.

Students can pick 3 exercises from the list below for each day: squats, lunges, sit-ups, v-ups, planks, crunches, push-ups/modified push-ups, jumping jacks, running in place, on a stair or curb, wall sits. Try to fit in 3 or 4 days each week if possible. These are just guidelines, change as needed.
