After reading the text, please have your child take some time to explain the article to you (what it is about, what the concerns are with providing free tuition, why is it a good idea, etc). Consider having your child discuss the text with another classmate over the phone. After reading the text, your child can answer the questions that follow. Please refer to your child's teacher for specific instructions on how to submit the questions.

Finally, students will fill in the information about the mystery country and try to figure out where they are. When finished, students should check their work. (See the Teacher Assigned PLAYLISTS) Students can also complete a cumulative math skill review in The Awakening Game that is also available in Legends of Learning.

Students: You will download the file "StepSheet- Legends of Learning" and follow the directions to create an account and log-in. If your teacher has an account, you may receive a different TEACHER CODE to use via your email, REMIND, or Curve. Once your account is created, you will log-in and there are several PLAYLISTS assigned to review percent and comparing rates. There is also a challenging review of all math skills in The Awakening Game. You can play The Awakening review game automatically once you log-in, but your assigned Playlists may not show up immediately. If you are new to Legends of Learning, your playlists will appear after you join, so check back later in the day or the next day to see the new playlists.
