Open the link above to watch Jack Hartmann's Parts of a Sentence video. Then open the file above and print. If you can't print, use your own paper and pencil. The student will write the sentences.
 
Student Instructions
Listen to "Parts of a Sentence" by Jack Hartmann. Then complete the attached file on writing sentences. Look at the first sentence and circle all the mistakes. Think about capitalization, finger spacing, writing letters correctly (no reversals), and end punctuation marks. Once you have found all the mistakes, write the sentence correctly. Complete all four sentences the same way.

Parent Instructions
Print out the file or you will need to create a board with the numbers 1-100 like the one above. The student will need 2 dice and counters (one per person) to keep your place during the game. This game can be played alone or with a partner. First person to 100 wins.
 
Student Instructions
Set the counter(s) at #1 on the game board. Roll the 2 dice and add the numbers together. Move your counter that many spaces forward. If playing alone, roll the 2 dice again and add the numbers together to move forward that many spaces. Keep playing until you reach 100. If you are playing with a partner, take turns rolling dice, adding the numbers and moving spaces. Whoever gets to 100 first, wins the game.

1) Either print the addition fact cards or make your own on paper. 2) Print the recording page: Page 6. 3) Cut out the addition fact cards and place them around the house, you could hide them around the house for your child to find them to make it more fun. 4) Give your child the recording sheet and a pencil. 5) Tell them to find all of the addition fact cards around the house and show them the number on the card. They have to write the answer in the correct box for that cards number. Example: Card 1 with 2+2 on it will be recorded on the recording sheet under the number 1 and they will write 4 in that box.

The student will watch the story, Peanut Butter and Jellyfish by Jarrett J. Krosoczka and then read the book, My Home in the Water by J. Patrick Lewis. Next go to Puzzlers and complete Word Match, Fact or Fiction, and Which Came First. Go back to thr page where Day 16 is located and watch the video, Ocean of Life and then click on the art activity to complete the ocean craft.

Student will view the video covering Earths 2 systems: Hydrosphere and Atmosphere Student will discuss and identify characteristics of both spheres with a parent or adult Student will take a walk and explore their environment, identifying things that would fit in to each category Student will journal their discoveries by drawing a picture of 2 things for each category and labeling and/or writing about each one and why they fit in to the given category.

Open the brain pop website to watch a video on USA symbols. Then open the file to print out the symbols of the USA book. The student may use their own paper and pencil to draw the pictures and write the sentences.
 
Student Instructions
Watch the video to review our nations's symbols and why they are important. The student will complete the book by writing a sentence or two about the symbols provided. Don't forget to capitalize, finger space, write letters correctly and use end punctuation when writing the sentences. You may color or draw your own pictures if you can't print out the book.
