Students will watch a Youtube video on Sustainability and complete a virtual walk-thru showing them how to reduce Ecological impact and move toward a more sustainable coexistence with our environment.
 
 
Student Instructions
The attached PDF file has some information on what and how to write a sustainable plan for improving or lessening our impact on the environment and our limited resources. Watch the Youtube video explaining the difficulty to define issue of sustainability. Then, goo to perform the various steps on the virtual sustainability tutorial. In the end, the screen will show how many tips if have learned and, if applicable, the number of pledges you have made to work towards implementing those tips. Send a screenshot of showing the completed tips. It may require a few screenshots. One for each section if you do not finish and get a summary. You do not have to make pledges. Those are a personal choice and I do not want you to feel judged in any way. The goal, to learn some helpful types and the challenge in defining what sustainability is. If you remember when we discussed this in class, we all came up with several answers that were all right to some extent.

Students will complete a personal knowledge inventory twice. First time, putting down what they feel is the best answer based on previous knowledge. Then, using notes, friends, family, and the internet complete the answers by updating with newfound understanding.

While it says "Test" it is not a traditional test. This activity, optional activity, is a test of your current knowledge base. You will take it one time with no outside influence or assistance. Then, go back over each question and look up the answers on the internet, ask your parents, ask a friend (using safe distance protocols). Correct/ amend your answers. Then submit them via email. This way, you are establishing what you believe is right and then correcting your understanding with independent study. A handwritten answer sheet or pic/ scan of the answer sheet is perfect.
