Student Instructions
Students will identify all the letter Zs on the Z page. Students will identify words that begin with the letter Z and read those words in print in the Letter Z Alphabet book.

Students will have the opportunity to become familiar with the letter Z and begin to recognize and produce the letter Z sound as an initial consonant.

Parents may choose to print the Z "Say it Find it, Read it, Write it" activity or work with their child to complete it by looking at it on the device.
 
 
Student Instructions
Students will do the following as they complete "Say it, Find it, Read it Write it" activity: Students should listen for the Z sound as they say the names of the pictures on the first row. Students should color (or point to)the letter Z on the second row. Students should circle (or point to) the letter S on the third row Students should work toward writing the letter Z on the fourth row.

Parents may choose to print the PDF. Parents will help their child find each animal and demonstrate 1-1 correspondence. Parents may need to model writing the numbers for their child.
 
Student Instructions
Students should use 1-1 correspondence to count each animal. Students should write the number representing the set next to the animal on the PDF. If the student does not have the PDF printed, they can write their numbers on a blank sheet of paper or practice tracing them in the air.
 
Learning Opportunity Objective
Students will have an opportunity to practice 1-1 correspondence while counting pictures. Students will have an opportunity to practice writing numerals to tell how many are in a set.

Student Instructions
Students should roll the die, recognize the dot pattern shown on the die and then find a circle that shows the same number. Students should then color in the corresponding circle. Students should roll the die repeatedly until every circle is filled in.

Students will have an opportunity to recognize sets representing numbers 1-6.

Parents can extend the learning by having their child search the house for sets of items. For example, they might find two shoes, 1 door knob, 4 spoons etc.

Parents, Pull up the provided PDF on your computer, tablet, or other device. Print it out if you can. If not, don’t worry, you can modify by talking about what good friends look like. Discuss with your child some things they can do to be a good friend. Have your child draw a picture of themselves and a friend or of themselves being a good friend. Let them dictate to you the sentence "I am a friend when...." have them finish the sentence and you can write what they say. Let them write any words they can on their own.

Students talk to a parent or grandparent about what it means to be a good friend. Student will draw a picture of themselves being a good friend. Student will dictate a sentence starting with "I am a friend when I..." Ex: I am a friend when I share my toys.
